Many peoples often seen dog cages (sometime called crates) as a jail or prison for dogs however this is a not true because if the cage were designed to look like dog house then it might be much more easier to change their ways of thinking that it is not a cage. Many dogs feel safe when they are in the cage and spend most of their times sleeping in there and it is an advantage to train your dog when he is a small puppies because he will get used to it when he grown up.
Always remember that cage should never be use for punishment purpose when your dog have bad behaviours or do something wrong because they will have a bad feeling toward crates, not a happy place to stay and never wanted to be in there again. Locking them in the crates for punishment reasons will also make your dog even more aggressive, unwilling to follow your command, etc. Dog are very sensitive and the main idea for cage training is to make your dog think that crates is a safe place for them to stay in all the times.
When your dog have good attitude for cage then it will be much more easier to take them along with you when going out somewhere or travelling.
Before you start to train your dog to stay in cage you must modify the cage first such as adding a blankets and soft floor for them to sleep on, water for them to drink when they are thirsty, and some toys for them to play with when they feel boring. It is very important that you must buy the size of the cage that is large enough to fit all these important things inside to make your dog feel like safe place not jail.
At first leave the cage door open all the times and after a while when your dog get used to staying in the cage (sleep in there often) then you can begin to close the door for short period of time, this make your dog feel secure and safe. Do the methods mentioned above everyday and slowly increase the period of shutting the door.
The heart of dog cage training is to make them feel safe and secure. Never use dog crate for punishment or else you will never make your dog feel safe in there again ever.

Aggressive dog are very dangerous and they are ready to bite anyone at anytime. You must be careful when facing these kind of dog and should not approach them unless they are controlled by their owner.
Approaching aggressive dogs
When you are facing a strange dogs and want to make them lower their anger and cruelness. you must let them come near you slowly while allowing them to sniff on you also and it is very important that the owner of aggressive dog must stay near by to reduce the threatening feeling and able to stop them in case they go out of control. Avoid direct eye contact and make friendly relation by speaking to them with soft voice. Touching softly around the neck is also non-threatening actions. Do not approach cruel dog suddenly and patting over their head because they will be threaten and react by biting you. The heart of approaching aggressive dog is to do everything slowly, softly and the most important of all is to avoid looking directly to their eyes.
Dealing with threatening dog
Many peoples who were bitten by dogs because they approached aggressive dogs the wrong ways. When they show sign of cruel action and intend to bite you, the first you must do is to stop and stand still and again avoid direct eye contact with these fierce dog. Do everything slowly and avoid yelling or other sudden action. If you choose to yell and rush at them then there is a chance that they will be threatening and run away but if it fail then they will react by attacking you instantly, this action have high risk and should be avoid. After a while when aggressive dog lower their threatening and anger, you can now slowly move away from the position you are standing. Do not turn back and run suddenly because aggressive dog will chase and attack you.
Dealing with attack situation
When you feel that stopping all your movement and standing still does not work and the dog rush at you and trying to attack then you must use any object that is near you as a shield to protect from direct bite such as clipboard, wood, your bag etc. Aggressive dog will bite the object and hold on so do not let go of your object. When aggressive dog realised that he is not doing any damage to you he will soon stop his attack. Kicking aggressive dog in this situation is not such a good idea because causing more pain to them can increase their anger and incite them to become ever more fierce. Attack them only if you have no other choices.
