Dog obiedience training

By john edwards
Dog obedience training!

As the name suggests, this is an important statement because this is what form`s your dog into the family member not just the canine lodger that gets under your feet. Llike everything in life dog obedience training must be done correctly, people are under the misconception that you aqquire your chosen dog ,you feed it ,you walk it, it sleeps, but the reality is there`s a bond that needs to be formed with your dog the same way you form a bond between yourself and your children !

Now theres all forms of dog training methods, dog house training, dog training schools, dog training books, use of a dog training collar, and also some teach potty training dog methods generally for puppy training programs (by the way not only do most dog trainers not teach this they dont`t teach it the way this particular dog obedience trainer does, but more on this extremely successful dog trainer later).

However it`s also how these techniques are implemented to gain your dogs trust and respect which is of the utmost importance before any dog training can begin ! Personally i`ve used a great deal of dog trainers, i`ve used dog obedience training techniques and dog training tip`s from dvds, videos, books, which had some impact on what i was striving to acheive but never with long lasting results, so i then realised like i have mentioned that its the approach, attitude combined with technique all executed in the right way!

Now with the recipe for success above in place of what dog obedience training really is, this brings me to finding the the ideal tutor to instill the right behaviour and make-up of what makes your dog what they should be, and the great thing about this is it also brings out character hence mutual respect and bonding which is the important point of having your family dog in the first place.

I started looking on the internet after all other avenues mostly failed me. I had briefly noticed one particular website that caught my eye and when i started reading the page i was blown away, the site simply held me transfixed as it had "dog obedience training performed in the correct way" embedded in it across the page, the techniques are new , theres simple but very powerful methods that are ground breaking, theres a lot of free tips on the page to digest ,and i couldn`t believe a lot of other things happening on this webpage.

Theres more to tell about this trainer and how you can learn from her arsenal of knowledge, her methods are unrivilled and i can assure you she dominates her field, and in my opinion has the dog obedience training market cornered, but for you to get more of an insight into her methodology you really should visit my blog about this marvellous dog trainer where if your intriged by her and want to actually visit the website theres a text link there directly to the page i`m so struck with her method s i had to write this article so visit my blog then visit the website and watch the free video sample lesson, i really think this is a must for you and your family and your dogs relationship thanks for reading my article and watch out for more John!....Blog-ed.

Be a worthy dog owner and get your precious pet a dog insurance

By Robert Scott
If wishes were horses, I would have a house full of dogs of every breed possible. Alas, that is not to be and I have satisfied myself with keeping just four dogs, one cocker spaniel, two labrador retrievers and one beagle. And without doubt this is one of the best decisions that I have taken in my life. The warm welcome and love which your pets shower on you after you are home from a hard day at work, is worth any trouble that you may have to take for your pets. I am sure that all dog owners can vouch for this fact, based on their personal experiences. Also, once you have a dog, you realize that good pet care is much more than food and games. According to my experience, I feel that the best care that you can provide for your pet is through a reliable dog insurance and everything else will fall into place.

Besides providing your dog with nutritious diet and regular grooming and exercise, there are many other small gestures which go a long way in ensuring that you have healthy and happy pets. A routine visit to the veterinary is part of a proper care for a dog. The yearly vaccinations and regular check ups are an essential part of pet care and all this costs money. As a responsible owner, I am sure that most of us plan out a monthly budget keeping the dog’s needs in mind; however, emergencies and unplanned expenditures do happen. A well planned dog insurance can then save the day for you and definitely for your pet. Some basic pointers, however, need to be paid special attention to, while selecting an appropriate dog insurance policy for your pet.

Whenever you approach a pet insurance company for a dog insurance plan for your pet, make sure that you have completed your background research about the company. Existing clients of the company or interaction with past customers can be a good way to judge the service and product offering of the insurance company. Once you are confirmed about the reliability and credentials of the company you can go ahead and plan the right policy for your beloved pet. Dog insurance plans will be decided after keeping the age, gender and breed of your pet. Make sure that you find out about all the diseases covered under the plan, as some of the hereditary or genetic diseases can be expensive to cure.

A secured dog insurance plan should also cover the regular veterinary expenditures and unplanned medical emergencies. Some insurance plans also have provisions for special circumstances like a lost pet scenario or perhaps injury to a third person by your pet. Carefully weigh all your options and select the plan most suited to your pet’s requirements. You will find that the nominal premium which you pay on a dog insurance turns out to be much less than what you would normally pay from your pocket for the same expenses. So, get your dog an insurance cover and both of you can rest easy for life.

Dog Gastric Bloat

By John Williams.
Gastric bloat is the name given to the situation in which your dog will not be able to burp or get rid of gas in any way out of their stomach or digestive areas. When this happens the dog will normally strain to burp or vomit to rid of the sometimes painful build up of gases, which then makes them swallow more air which also gets trapped causing the panicking dogs condition to deteriorate quickly and without much warning.

As this behavior continues the stomach becomes so inflated that it pushes into other organs and can possibly twist to form more discomfort resulting in the death of your dog if nothing gets done with the trapped gases and air.

Gastric bloat in dogs can be very uncomfortable for the dog in question and cause endless amounts of pain and suffering with death being a highly possible option if it does not get seen to straight away or operated on before it worsens.

As soon as you suspect gastric boat in your dog through the symptoms of, random spurts of straining to vomit but without actually producing any vomit, a bloated looking stomach, difficulty breathing, and no sign of diarrhea you should call a vet as soon as possible. This is an urgent situation and the quicker you get your pet to the vets the easier it will be for them to treat the illness.

Nobody yet understands why gastric bloat happens or what causes the symptoms of your dog being able to burp out the excess gas it needs to. There are many theories but none have yet been proven or no patterns have been found as yet.

This means that any procedure the vet takes on this illness is completely up to them and will be judged from previous experiences of this condition. The most probable of procedures would be to relive the dog's stomach of pressure by giving them a stomach pump which clears all food liquids and gas from the dog which then leaves them free to operate and untwist the stomach of the dog if necessary.

For this condition it is vital that your dog gets seen to as soon as possible, even though most pets with this illness do survive and recover well there is always a chance of fatality. This condition can escalate quickly in a matter of hours, if you fear this then contact a figure of authority immediately to get advice.

Dog Food Poisoning

By John Williams
One of the most common dog illnesses is dog vomiting and diarrhea. These are both symptoms from one of the more well known and common illnesses that is food poisoning in your dog.

Dog food poisoning normally comes about due to dog that are let out to wonder or have easy access to bins and garbage areas where they can quite freely rummage around and eat whatever they feel smells nicer.

Dogs rely heavily on their smell to tell them what to eat and what not to eat, so to a dog, gone off or old food with plenty of germs and bacteria can become a very tempting option, not to mention the many foods that can be harmful to your dog because of the lack of digesting capability your dog has which makes your pet extremely sick in some cases without them fully knowing the consequences of what they are about to eat and digest.

This in turn makes the garbage area of your home or garden, or even places on the street a very dangerous place for your dog to be left alone and unsupervised. Although in most cases food poisoning in your dog is easily treated and has no long term harm for your dog. It can be a really unpleasant time for your dog where they will need more attention and be more time consuming than normal, not to mention the expense of a simple avoidable trip to the vets for the check-up.

Having said this there are ways to clear your dog of this condition to help them to a strong recovery, provided you know that it is food poisoning you are dealing with and it has been confirmed by a professional vet, the diagnosis will normally be to fee your dog only water for twenty four hours so your dogs body can be freed of the offending poisoning from the unwanted food, your dog will do this by either vomit or diarrhea.

If you do not take this action your dog's body will continue to get rid of any food you feed your dog because the immune system thinks the food entering the body is causing the poisoning thus getting rid of it. This cycle will continue and your dog will be ill and unwell until everything has been emptied out of your dogs system and it can return back to normal again.

After this you should feed your dog on bland foods and gradually build up to tastier and stronger smelling foods until all is normal again.
